"We had an excellent stay at Devon Dens enjoying the serenity of such a peaceful place!! Thank you to our host, Jo, for being so accommodating and for your attention to detail. The fresh, locally sourced, reasonably priced food hampers were a wonderful addition and took the pressure off having to do a big shop. The sauna was the cherry on top. We hope to come again and love the eco-friendly, self-sustaining ethos with which you have created such a wonderful place to escape and truly relax."

"What can I say? A truly mesmerising place! Words cannot describe the true beauty of Devon Dens! Even after seeing pictures and reading reviews we still arrived with such surprise. The cabin was so warm and comforting, we didn't miss the little things like mobile phones or tv! We were too busy being sunk into the nature, scenery and quality time. The place consistently made us smile and relax, we did not want to leave! I could not recommend this place enough, we will be back again!"

"We absolutely loved our long weekend in the Den. Such an incredible property in an idyllic location. Perfect for time with our two boys. Jo was so welcoming and helpful and the whole weekend was wonderful. We adored the outdoor space, the attention to detail, the sauna and the wood burner. Long nights spent playing board games and avoiding the rain! We just loved it, could not recommend it more highly."

"Completely relaxing and refreshing getaway! The cabin was warm, beautiful and comfortable. Enjoyed every minute there getting away from the every day. Saw hardly no other people and was left to our own devices. However we knew the owners were there if we needed anything and the information provided was easily understood and plentiful! Would definitely recommend to people who enjoy being unplugged from all devices, loves nature/the environment and just connecting with their loved ones."

"What an absolute gem, hidden away off the beaten track and such a wonderful property I actually don’t want to share this, it’s too good. We want to keep it all to ourselves. Loved every second of being there, caring and being in the most natural environment in this eco property. Immaculate and tidy with everything you might desire, even precooked meals can be ordered and they are high quality and delicious. Local walks, nearby attractions including the amazing waterfalls at Meldon make this a magical place."

"What a wonderful place to while away a week. Slow down, switch off and listen. We had a relatively rainy week in May, but when you’re here it doesn’t matter. Shelter in the beautifully built cabins, get your coat and get outside, or build a fire in the sauna and just escape! Jo is a lovely accommodating host and so conscious of preserving the natural world which surrounds us, every detail is thoughtfully considered and considerate. Wouldn’t hesitate to return!"

"Wow, where do I even start - we spent a week here and it is just EPIC. Brilliant cabin, super comfortable, thoughtfully equipped and of course, very environmentally friendly. Jo was amazing, bringing the food etc (cider!) and checking in to make sure all was well - we had breakfast and barbie food, Tania's Tarts (you MUST get whatever she has), fantastic curries, and a few pickings from the garden. To sit on the veranda, watching and listening to the birds and the stream was just the best thing."

"Wonderful set up for the most chilled out break. The kids survived without their phones, wifi and TV, but more surprisingly…so did we! The weather was only good on our first day, but it didn’t spoil our break, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a remote, relaxing holiday. For active families like us, there’s also lots to do out and about. Paddle boarding, kayaking, waterfall treks, cycling and castle visits to name a few. The sauna was amazing too!"

"We just got home from a 3 day break and I can't tell you how beautiful it was. So cozy and surprisingly really warm! It had everything we needed and they provided some handy bits for our baby to use too. Jo regularly checked in with us via text during our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. She arranged for us to have a massage in the Den which was a cherry on top of a lovely weekend. Absolutely stunning lodge and would highly recommend to anyone who loves nature or fancies a few days away from reality."

"We had a wonderful stay with our 4 year old in the cabin in January. We loved going for walks in Dartmoor, discovering ancient woodlands, spending time by the fire, enjoying the sauna and hot tub. Exactly what we needed. Time away from the world. We didn't actually venture too far just loved staying in reading, playing game, enjoying the cabin. We will be back for sure."
